I found this beautiful home in the "Mayberry-like" village of Dryden
while vacationing in the Finger Lakes and knew it would make a beautiful
bed and breakfast once it was renovated. It had "good bones" but needed
some paint, cleaning, some really nice furniture, rugs and curtains.
I spiffed it up in about two months and opened in May of this year
I cook up a pretty tasty breakfast of fritattas, quiches
or blueberry pancakes. You will enjoy homebaked banana nut bread,
apple bread, scones or muffins.
I have owned several businesses in the past, including
another bed and breakfast, an art gallery, a temporary office help
service and a café. I have a line of imported silver jewelry with
semi-precious stones, marcasite and cubic zirconias. If you are interested
in viewing the jewelry during your stay, just ask.
I hail from Orange County, NY, which is a beautiful
area bordered by the Hudson and Delaware Rivers. But I wanted to experience
this area and all that it has to offer. So far I have hiked in Robert
H. Treman and Taughannock Parks, swam, canoed and taken the boat tour
in Cayuga Lake, been to Ithaca Farmers' Market, Sciencenter, Cornell
Ornithology Lab, Cornell Planations, Johnson Art Museum, Hangar Theatre,
Museum of the Earth and Wegman's. I have spent a good deal of time
in Found, Ithaca Antique Center, Hub's Place, Mimi's Attic, City Lites
Antiques, Green Goat Antiques and Jo Le's Fabrics searching for furniture
and accessories for this beautiful home.
